"We dance because we are alive"

Dance is an experience. It is able to arouse an undreamt awareness of life in us that leads to new perspectives and philosophies. The variety and uniqueness of dance styles allows us to translate every feeling into movement and expression.
Despite the time and stylistic classification of dance, for me it represents the most personal medium of expression that express oneself in the moment.

"Dance can not be separated from the people who create it, therefore it is 'personal' in a way different from poetry, paintings, sculptures or buildings. Because all these artistic forms do outlast their creator and the moment of their creation. Even music or theatre do lead a life independent of their presentation, because there are scores and text books. But dance does only exist in a personal here and now - even when being captured in a film or video. We can not see dance without perceiving the person who is dancing."
